For about $50 in materials, you can build this 4 ft. tall lighthouse in one weekend. The entire lighthouse is made of standard 2 x 4’s, and the square shape doesn’t require any unique angles. Make it out of regular 2 x 4’s and paint it, or go with pressure-treated lumber for a natural, wood look. The body of the lighthouse easily lifts off so you can access or hide objects in the base. Downloadable woodworking plans read like a book and include photos at every step. Instructions for painting it the Cape Hatteras theme is included with the plans.
John M,
Site Owner, Craftsman
Thank you for visiting Chesapeakecrafts. We are a veteran and family-owned business located along the shores of the Chesapeake Bay in beautiful Southern Maryland. My name is John and I started this fulfilling adventure in 2008 selling at local crafts shows and expanding my interest in woodworking and all things DIY. We have grown and met a lot of wonderful people that share the same interests since then. I hope you find something here on the site that interest you and perhaps provides a little inspiration!
